They call him Vybes but known to those personally as Leon.

​

He has been involved in the music industry for over 19 years, starting in the late 90’s mixing it up live for the clubs and radio, being influenced by family and close friends who have been involved in the music industry for many years playing & producing.

​

He started at an early age, building his own sound system by working little jobs to fund his love for music. Then his feel for entertaining began, back in 1998 at school discos & proms where he djd at the tender age of 14, which gained him experience and opened up doors and opportunities. Back in 2005 he then took it to another level and began presenting his own radio show on a Thursday nights The ‘Urban Flavaz show based in Wolverhampton which opened up doors to the highly rated hot spots, clubs and bars in the Wolverhampton, Telford, Leicester, Stafford and Birmingham areas working alongside street teams promoting music events running competitions for the likes of Sony BMG, Urban star, The Play Centre, Def Jam and many others, doing Launch parties for UK and US artists and having the pleasure of being able to interview artists such as Robin Thicke, Ryan Leslie, David Banner, Fun d mental, Nathan and Beverly Knight and most present Fuse ODG where they attended and performed live.

Over the years he has created various promotional mix tapes for the streets and still continues the demanded “Urban Flavaz mix promo compilations, which once originally started with viynl's (from his vast collection using Techniques 1210s for the vinyl connoisseurs) moving with the times to Cds and Mp3’s.

 

Over time his horizon has widened covering genres from the early 80s, 90s, slow jams, UK Garage, Rare grooves, Reggae, Lovers Rock & Motown, which has allowed him to cater for a much larger audience including commercial pop, Dance classics, UK house (Funky) and since working along side the UK Pro DJ's team he has had to cater for 50s 60s 70s and Motown, corporate events, weddings, Birthday and Christmas parties of all ages groups, club events and much more.
